2020 Annual Water Quality Reports are Available - AVEK Meets All State and Federal Requirements

May contain: person, human, drink, beverage, and drinking

Annual Water Quality Reports (AWQR) are prepared yearly in complaince with the Safe Drinking Water Amendments of 1996. Specific contaminants analyzed for the year are determined by the Vulnerability Assessment and MonitoringFrequency Guidelines (VAMFG).

Raw and finished water met all state and federal requirements for regulated contaminants in 2020. General Physical and Secondary Standards remained below maximum contaminant levels (MCL's) for the duration of the year. Inorganic contaminant results were below the MCL and blending of various groundwater sources allowed for arsenic levels to remain in compliance. Volatile Organiz Contaminants (VOCs) and Synthetic Organic Contaminants (SOCs) were all none detect for every location sampled in 2020.

THMs satisfied the Stage 2 Disinfectants and Disinfection Byproducts Rule and we finished the year with maximum annual averages of 28 u g/L in our Kern County System and 45 u g/L in our LA County system.
