“I’ve wanted to work at AVEK for the last few years after becoming interested in water treatment through conversations with a friend who’s worked in the industry for several years,” Nick said.

“This particular job site, and the Agency in general, appeal to me because I’ve lived in the Antelope Valley for most of my life and it’s obvious that AVEK takes a lot of pride in the essential service it provides to the community.”

“It’s a pleasure to be on board.”

His duties as a treatment plant operator involve equipment maintenance, water quality monitoring and water sample collections at numerous sites in and around the Quartz Hill area.

Prior to joining AVEK, Nick worked at TerranearPMC, LLC, a firm based in Burbank that specializes in groundwater remediation as well as providing radiological serves and waste management.

Nick lives in west Lancaster with his fiancée Cali and his daughter Adelina.

“Aside from working in water treatment and spending time with family, I enjoy songwriting, recording music, film editing and performing at local venues, so I definitely look forward to restrictions being lifted and a return to live entertainment.”
