Outdoor Activity Nourishes Body / Soul for David Vargas
Lancaster resident David Vargas came on board at AVEK October 19, 2020, as an Electrical Technician in the Maintenance Department and his first six months seemed to fly by at lightning speed.
He inspects and maintains motors and pumps to keep them in working order. He also calibrates meters to ensure they comply with regulations and standards.
Asked why AVEK for his career move, David said, “because it is a big water Agency.”
He assimilated to life in California, after leaving his home in El Salvador.
David and wife Gloria have one child, a baby girl named Angelina, born February 16 of this year.
Two dogs keep the family active – 1-year-old Jackie and 5-year-old Rocky.
In his free time, David heads for the beach, or goes fishing, camping and working out.
